Our Belief

ABOUT GOD
We believe that there is one God; the loving, holy, all-powerful, all-knowing, omnipresent Spirit and creator of all. [Leviticus 19:2; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 44:24; Jeremiah 23:24; John 4:24; Colossians 1:16; 1 Timothy 1:17; 1 John 4:8; Revelation 19:6;]

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Almighty God; fully divine and fully human. He came to Earth and willingly suffered death on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for human sin. He rose from the dead through His own power and now offers eternal life to all who will receive salvation by faith.

John 3:14-17; Romans 6:23; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21; Ephesians 2:4-9

THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives. Deuteronomy 4:1-2; Psalms 119:11, 89, 105; Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 22:29; John 5:39; 16:13-15; 17:17; Romans 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-2; 4:12; 1 Peter 1:25; 2 Peter 3:16

SALVATION
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

Isaiah 1:18; 53:5-6; 55:7; Matthew 1:21; 27:22-66, 28:1-6; Luke 1:68-69; 2:28-32; John 1:12; 3:16, 36; 5:24; Acts 2:21; 4:12; 16:30-31; Romans 1:16-18; 3:23-25; 5:8-10; 6; 1 Corinthians 1:18; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Galatians 2:20; 3:13; Ephesians 2:8-10; Philippians 2:12-13; Hebrews 9:24-28; Revelation 3:20

ABOUT THE GOSPEL
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection). (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).

ABOUT CHRISTIAN LIVING
As Christians we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. (See Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10).

ABOUT THE FUTURE
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will soon return to Earth for the people of His Church and will bring them to be with Him in His heavenly kingdom. There will be a final judgment; the righteous will inherit eternal life in Heaven.
